HTTP/3 and QUIC: Real-World Performance Benefits for Modern Web Applications

For over twenty-five years, web traffic has relied on TCP for reliable transport. However, on lossy mobile networks, a single dropped TCP packet halts all multiplexed HTTP/2 streams due to TCP head-of-line blocking. HTTP/3 replaces TCP with QUIC (over UDP), delivering faster connection handshakes and instant recovery from packet loss.
